How tolerant are we?

All through history you only read accounts of how humans have risen and fallen, never about how this planet itself ceased functioning or was destroyed. Humans have risen and fallen only based on the strength and sanity of their own thought. In that respect, tolerance is an effective test to the human capacity of controlling one’s own emotions or letting it go in situations that call for it.

Sadly I guess over a period of time we humans have become so cross-wired in our heads that we function exactly the opposite way when it comes to respecting our personal lives and values.

Even when getting a single cup of coffee in a road-side coffee shop, we expect quality customer service. A delay in service, and we flare up threatening to mar the reputation of the shop. Spill of a few drops and we threaten to complain so that the erring soul loses his/her job. We expect quality service everywhere we go.Go to a doctor’s clinic and you want to push your way ahead to see the doctor, coz you are busy. Stand in a queue and you say you are late and don’t have time to waste.

You have the power to earn money and the money to buy power. So you are not tolerant to the world around you. You want the best in everything that money can buy. You are part of the marathon that our generation has begun to run. This is one marathon that won’t stop.

But think, when was the last time you lived without the fear of losing all this? the last time you felt free, on the inside, deep within your mind. You bind yourself with predictable activities in a monotonous life within an unpredictable world. Looks like you are in the wrong place, aren’t you? Can you still let yourself just go and live life dangerously but for yourself nevertheless?

You work from morning to night, five to seven days a week within icy dungeons called The IT Industry. For whatever you are paid, they already have your morning, noon and night, in addition to your a** of course. You are eager to please, they are to fleece. Well, both happens, that is a certainty. You are ready to compromise on the small niceties in life, while going for the stars up the corporate ladder. Somewhere along the way we have become very tolerant that we let our lives be controlled for us. We live in a dream of unreal stardom, it will never be real freedom, born within you.

Live your life’s dreams, don’t run another man’s marathon.

Wake up to your potential reality.
