What happens in afterlife?
The body is only a container that takes on different roles/purposes. It is the cloth to the soul, a storage device for data, a machine that facilitates materialistic existence of living beings. After a living entity transitions from a physical form to a non-physical form, the entity continues to live in a state known as afterlife. The consciousness continues to exist with its pre-existing thoughts/feelings of love, bonding, happiness, sadness, hate and other emotions that would have been felt and experienced by the living being when in physical form.
To be continued…

Macro Shot – 5 Rupee Coin
Date of Shoot: March 27, 2010; Macro shot of a 5-rupee coin; the coin shows the Ashok Chakra, the national emblem; This coin was released by the Reserve Bank of India in the year 2009; Denomination:5 Rupees, Metal:Nickel-Brass, Mint:Mumbai ,Mint Mark: Diamond, Weight:6.00 gms, Diameter:23.00 mm, Shape:Circular
The National Emblem of India has an origin steeped in the culture and myriad colors of India. A symbol of the modern Indian republic, the emblem is an adaptation from the Sarnath Lion, capital of Emperor Ashoka the Great as preserved in the Sarnath Museum situated near Varanasi in the north Indian province of Uttar Pradesh.
The National Emblem of India is a near-replica of the Lion Capital of Sarnath. The Lion Capital was erected atop a Pillar in around 250 BC by Emperor Ashoka the Great to mark the spot where Buddha first preached his Dharma (gospel of peace and emancipation) and where the Buddhist Sangha was founded.
In the original Lion Capital of Emperor Ashoka, there stand four Asiatic lions, back to back, mounted on a circular abacus with a frieze carrying sculptures in high relief of an elephant, a galloping horse, a bull and a lion separated by intervening wheels over a bell-shaped lotus. These wheels stand for the "Ashoka Chakra" or "Dharmachakra" or the "Eternal wheel of law" as mentioned in the Hindu scriptures. The whole of the Lion Capital was carved out of a single block of polished sandstone.
The Indian National Emblem, modeled on the Lion Capital, features 3 lions. The fourth lion is hidden from sight since it is positioned at the rear end; so is the bell-shaped lotus flower situated beneath. The frieze beneath the lions is shown with a wheel in the center, a bull on the right, a galloping horse on the left, and outlines of Dharma Chakras on the extreme right and left. The wheel at the centre of the abacus symbolizes the "Dharma Chakra".
The Lion Pillar was adopted as the National Emblem of India on 26 January 1950, the day India became a republic. For more details about our national emblem refer to http://www.theholidayspot.com/indian_independence_day/emblem.htm

What is afterlife?
The exact meaning of ‘death’ has been perceived differently by people of different races and religion across the planet. However, to understand exactly what death is, one must understand what life is. What is it exactly that makes us tick?
In simply words, I would define the existence of life in a person as the functioning of physiological body with organs within which the active consciousness of the person is housed. When in physical pain and I say ‘My body aches!’, then I already accept and view my body as a separate entity from me. If this perception is true, then who am I? Am I the active sub-conscious? Do I have non-physical form in which I operate? If this is true, then this non-physical entity is a form of energy which operates the body. This energy is indestructible, as energy form can neither be created nor be destroyed.
With this as the definition of life and bodily existence, then ‘death’ can be defined as the seizure of functioning of only the physical entity. The non-physical entity continues to exist.
Life and death are neither distinctive destinations we travel to nor locations we arrive from. Life to Death is rather a transition from a physical form to a non-physical form. Therefore, death does not terminate the active consciousness. The energy that powers the body continues to exist in an ‘un-bound’ form. This is the spiritual body or the Jeevathma.
With this hypothesis (faith, to spiritualists) on what death really is, we can then realize that the consciousness or the spiritual body that lives after the physical body ceases to function. This existence is what is known as the afterlife.
What is the Paranormal?
The world as we see it is the visible dimension that we as human beings are able to perceive through our natural sensory organs. Any event or perception occurring outside of this perceivable circle classifies as unexplained paranormal phenomena. Most often, such phenomenon may not have a logical explanation that defines its origin or existence. Such a phenomenon always fascinates the human curiosity. This particular article speaks about ‘afterlife’, i.e. life after death. Across the world, across different cultures, and religious faiths, one of the beliefs that have been commonly held is the continuity of life even after physical death.

Shy Maiden
This is one from my heart, one from my imagination! I used a Steadler 6B for the outline and Steadler 8B for the shading. The key was to get life into the eyes, and make it convey the dreams that she harbours in her heart.

Apsara
An Apsara is a female spirit of the clouds and waters in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. English translations of the word "Apsara" include "nymph," "celestial nymph," and "celestial maiden." Apsaras are beautiful, supernatural women. They are youthful and elegant, and proficient in the art of dancing. Apsaras are said to be able to change their shape at will, and rule over the fortunes of gaming and gambling. Urvasi, Menaka, Rambha and Tilottama are the most famous among them. There are two types of Apsaras; Laukika (wordly), of whom thirty-four are specified, and Daivika (divine), of which there are ten. ~ from wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apsara

I see Light, I feel light!
Give up in life...it is good.
For the one woman
Cruelty to the loving mother
Beauty of a Woman
Sad thing in life
Don't aim, don't reach!
Random Streaks!
ensure that there is a ground under you when you fall, strong enough
to hold you when you get up.
Everyone falls down in life. What really matters is whether you fall down
as a dead oak who wont live up,
or a stubborn bloke who wont give up.
Intimacy is like an iceberg; you won't know the expanses of it until
you dive deep down into the ocean of love.
Love is like the universe, I see it around me, reach out to touch it.
Then I realize, I am already a part of it and connected with all
living beings by the bond of compassion.
Prayer to God every night
I was hounded by many failures, yet I never gave up trying;
I was silenced by many fears, yet I didn't flinch when it mattered;
I was thrown down on the ground often, yet I always found my legs to stand up;
I was not always appreciated for my good deeds, yet I put a smile on many faces;
I was only a mere mortal who could die, yet reached to the sky to touch the immortals.
A Good Life
kissed by many when you are born
blessed by many when you are alive
and missed by many when you are dead
Actions without a Trigger
You can forgive without a confession
You can be courageous without being threatened
You can be valiant without fighting
You can be honest without being appreciated
You can be chivalrous without being adored
You can be noble without being rich
The good qualities in you don't need a platform to prove themselves.
