What happens to people when they grow up the organizational ladder or in
the society? What should they do to sustain and keep going up? The modern day
mantra across the world for addressing the above questions lies not in
psychology or management, but in physics! You would have heard of an
astronomical entity called Black Hole (well, you would have if you have seen
the movie Interstellar). Black holes were once stellar bodies that started
collapsing into itself thus gathering extreme mass and gravitation, till they
reach a point where they pull everything into themselves and does not let
anything, including light, escape from it. Hence the name. Likewise, as a
person grows up the corporate ladder or even in life, if the craze for power
gets to them and they want to stay on top and keep growing, then they should
start becoming self-centered, ensuring their own gains in everything by hook or
crook, and never let anyone else surpass them. They will have to become the
center point in everything, no matter if they deserve to be there or not. Such
people will surely succeed. Of course other people don't call such people as
Black Holes, but something more or less similar in rhyming though. Bah, who
cares?!
