Fear of failure is worse that failure itself

Most often, the possibility of not being able to replace something lost scares people more than the actual event of losing it. The negative thought about the future grips them more than the present day problem.

People don't want to lose money because they are afraid that they may not be able to earn it again.

People fear exams because they are afraid to study and take the exams again in the event that they fail in the current one. That creates a wave of negativity that impacts the present day events as well.

They try to save relationships because they know it cannot be replaced if lost. And it is also for this reason that people are able to walk out of a relationship because they feel a replacement is far easier than continuing the relationship.

What bad happens to us is usually far lesser in intensity compared to the negativity that our mind creates about it. But the good thing is that this negativity can be controlled and maybe even eliminated.
